Blurring the lines between cautious strategy and unbridled mayhem, SUPERHOT VR is the definitive VR FPS in which time moves only when you move. No regenerating health bars. No conveniently placed ammo drops. It’s just you, outnumbered and outgunned, grabbing the weapons of fallen enemies to shoot, slice, and maneuver through a hurricane of slow-motion bullets.

Wanna feel like the star of your own action movie? This is it. You spawn into a room, quickly eyeball your surroundings and formulate a plan to take out a room full of bad guys with nothing but a clipboard. It’s exhilarating to clear the levels and I find myself focused on finding cooler and more epic ways to beat them each time. Tons of fun to be had here.

This and Beat Saber are the two must-own titles on VR.
For experiencing VR this is simple to get into and have fun.
My minus is that it is hard to aim when throwing items.
It’s not perfect but still gets the 5 starts to make more gamers see it and buy it.

One of the best experiences in VR. Game is innovative, the vr controls really add to the experience compared to the original game. The intermissions between action scenes are clever. They feel like the Accounting+ experience in some ways, it was done with a lot of obvious thought and detail.
Only downside with the game, the controls for throwing something are really screwy, there are some sections where the throwing mechanics take away from the experience. Some of the sections only give you throwing weapons, and those sections are frustrating to complete and it feels entirely like it is because of the control scheme.
That one issue doesn’t ruin the game, sort of like a bad jumping puzzle segment in an old platformer, it’s worth putting up with those segments for the rest of the experience.

This game is amazing. The graphics feel really nice because they pop out the AI more. My one complaint would be that there is no snap turn, my room is small for vr so i end up not being able to get all the weapons that are by me. Other than that it is a really fun game and the feeling of slowing down time and shredding enemys like there glass is amazing. 5/5 a must have for VR.

I was a MAJOR fan of this game (even before it hit VR). It’s simplicity makes it so much fun to play while the graphics, even so very simple, see to add to the utter “coolness” of this game. YES, it will frustrate you and you will probably start speaking in tongues “until” you figure out the right “moves”. Sign up for the sub and get it for like a $1 while it’s still available. Also, the humor of this game and it’s “cerebral” edge are just too slick.

Dont get deceived by the screenshots. The game is great for VR as a new interesting concept where you are the choosen one, if you know what I mean.
I wish the game had more levels and new challenges

The game you must download/buy whenever you have access to VIVEPORT. Great introduction game to first time VR users or worth every cent paid for.

Great gameplay, innovative concept and good use of low-poly stylized graphics which actually improves performance while looking great.

I’m fairly new to VR, but so far after about 10 games- this one is the best. Really a smart use of VR instead of just porting a game to VR from desktop. It’s an action game that doesn’t require fast reflexes or high dexterity with a controller- fun to let people who aren’t gamers play it.

This is the first VR game I have played that made me sweat! Made me stop and think about how I could beat some levels and fast past but not so that it is impossible. I really liked this game! This would also be a fun game for parties. Watching people play this would be fun in its self!

Cool, minimal design, unique and fun gameplay as you learn to conquer each level in one smooth motion, overall highly recommended.

One of the best VR games out there. Simple and yet perfect match with VR even if it feels
short on content. Don’t deserve 1 or even 2 stars reviews really.

Positive comment: This is an excellent, well designed, fun game to play.
Negative comment: You have to shoot yourself in the head?!! I find the backstory too obviously resonating with current real-world fanatical murder-suicide violence prevalent in this world today. As a parent, this aspect of the story line makes me feel sick, and it is unnecessary.

Summary:
Had a lot of fun with this game. It was quite short, I finished it in one sitting, took about an hour. There is definitely some replayability, as there is no one way to beat a level. I would recommend picking this up on a good sale, as its length doesn’t warrant a $30AUD pricetag.
Negatives:
-Almost like a demo to a real game. It’s missing a lot of the functionality that made the non VR version great, like swapping bodies and moving. It also only features about an hours gameplay.
-Doesn’t fit roomscale well. I found I had to constantly reach out of my boundary, even for menu selections. Luckily it wasn’t facing a wall. There is no way to change this in game.
-“Life drain” ability is VERY buggy, especially in the 3rd room of its showcase, with the two guards on the ledge. It took about 5 minutes just to get it to work. Almost quit the game. Worked better in later missions.

4 Stars. Graphics 3/5 (simple, but it’s very fitting), Atmosphere 4/5, Story 2/5 (there’s not really a Story here), Gameplay 4/5, Length 3/5. Very interesting concept for a game. You’re some kind of ninja-like killer fighting off red goons that remind you of 80s Sci-Fi movies like Tron. The bigger Level chunks are interrupted by going back to “reality” in a tiny VR room with 80s equipment. Very cool setting. The challenges in the game vary largely in difficulty. While punching and shooting works perfectly, throwing things is very hard. Dodging works surprisingly well. Definetly fun to play. Length is okayish, 5 Introlevels + 14 actual Levels. Once you have beaten the game you can chose different game modes like “headshots only” or “don’t die”. All in all approx. 8 hours game time.

Might not be worth it for the usual price nowadays because it’s a pretty short game (few hours) with some pretty bland graphics but it’s still very fun if you might like the slow down time, dodge bullets, kill the enemy with various types of ordinary weapons type of gameplay. I noticed the physics were a little buggy at times with enemies exploding up into the air for no apparent reason, but it didn’t happen often enough to kill the experiece. There is a bit of a story which makes the game a bit more interesting to play. After beating the game like normal there are some different gamemodes to try out which is a plus.

Played on WMR (you need to reasign 3 keys and even then the throwing works poorly)
The game is overhyped! It has small bits of action that you probably allready seen not linked by anything. After each wave of red guys you jump 2-10m to another predifined location on the same map. It would have been nice to have the player use a locomotion or teleport to get to that point to add fluidity to the game. As it is it seems more like a demo of what could be done but not a full game. No story (althow there is a small atempt at one) and no reason to stay engaged… and it does not work well on WMR (throwing is very bad to the point that some stages are too hard … and for all the wrong reasons).
Because you can play it for free here, I do recommend trying it but I would not recomend paying for it to anyone. There have been way better games published allready.

3 Stars because the game simply wont work with Oculus Quest and Virtual Desktop which is completely wireless
After loading the game the hands are on the floor and cant make it work even going to steam settings and changing the contoller mapping
All other top games works with Oculus quest and Virtual Desktop and why wont SuperHot. It might require some patch from developers
Oculus Quest and Oculus Link works but the game is really good and would be awesome to play wireless and it will be great if developers fix the issue

The game is a lot of fun, I absolutely love it, but for some reason it won’t run well on my Samsung Oddessy+, it says that the game supports mixed reality, but whenever I play the game it starts to stutter every 1-3 seconds and that results in almost all of my deaths in the game. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong or what I can do to fix it but as a Samsung Oddessy user, I can’t play or enjoy the game. But besides the stuttering problem the gameplay is amazing, highly reccomend you buy it if you have any other headset .

No locomotion! The wave progression is bizarre… groups of 5 waves of increasing difficulty and if you fail one, you go back to wave 1. This results is constantly replaying boring level 1, 2, 3, 4… when trying to beat 5. When a game is designed to make me replay levels, I start to suspect it’s developers trying to lengthen playtimes, and hide a lack of content. I was fed up after an hour.

Really doesnt live up to the orignal game, not only are you limited to a small playing area with no movement, the punching feels really bad, the gun play is okay, limited hand movments and if you mess up it has you replay the same group of levels. it becomes boring FAST

[WARNING: This version has the incredibly clunky-at-best control scheme where you pick up items with the trigger, and throw them with the thumbpad. The original (grip to throw) control scheme is not supported, and is only available on Steam’s beta branch.]
While the gameplay feels amazing in VR (with the proper control scheme not available here), you’ll more than likely find yourself slow motioning your way through the game in an hour or two and wanting for more, even more so than in the flat version.
I can’t justify leaving a positive rating here when the game is not properly supported on this platform. Relying on a platform-specific beta branch for a *setting* is unacceptable in this day and age.

Guess I am missing something, Forced to play the same 4 things over and over. Seems like a training mode that neve ends. Make it through what I will call a 4 or 5 stages and if you get hit you go all the way back to stage 1. No interactive menu that I can find presse all the buttons. Got to what I tought was a training mode for the throwing stars but could never throw them, could pick them up but they they are stuck in my hands. Basically a confusing mess with very little instruction at all. Guess thats why its on sale for a 1.00
