Really enjoyable, enthusiastic voice acting and memorable characters. The voice acting gives you enough time between lines that it’s tempting to respond out loud! It’s a little touch that helps with immersion.
The exploring and puzzle solving reminded me of the first time I played Half Life, but this game isn’t spooky or creepy. There were a couple glitches when blinking (teleporting) around, once I accidentally got stuck in a wall and had to restart. The inventory system is very intuitive and I hope to see more like it in other games. Overall a very thoughtful, methodical game with a great soundtrack.
I look forward to the next episode!

From the moment you start up the experience, the world is brought to life with precision and care. The sound of the waves crashing against the beach, the sound of your feet crunching on sand as you move, and even the sense of loneliness that spreads over you as you explore the opening moments of the game all help to paint a picture that’s easy to get lost within. The ability to teleport forward, but also explore the immediate area—crouching and even crawling to explore all the nooks and crannies—helps make the props around the world feel incredible.

This game right here is exactly what I’m looking for in VR. The graphics and immersion are great as well as the story. The only real issue for me is that it took me about an hour and a half to beat. While working your way through you’ll encounter a few puzzles but most were not all that challenging. There is one puzzle near the end that got me scratching my head for a bit. I’m currently playing through episode 2 of this series which is looking to be even better than the first. Unfortunately I haven’t heard any news that there will be an episode 3. I’m hoping more VR games like this will be made in the future with longer playtimes.

Can’t believe I was not going to play this as I thought not really my thing. WOW its amazing; the part at the end is one of the best VR experiences I’ve had. Will def be doing Chapter 2.

Well I bought the Vive Pro when it was launched and with the $100 credit i got for buying the vive pro i picked this game up in the sale! All I can say is WOW WHAT A GAME!!!! This has got to of been the best experiance I have ever had in a VR game. This takes me back to being a kid and solving puzzles. The game is short but that is because it is an episode and the 2nd episode is available now on Steam. This is a 100% must try experiance! You will honestly not forget this game, at the end of the game my mouth was open in amazment THANK YOU for making feel so alive in a game!!!! Hats off to the Devs on this WELL DONE. SkyRL

One of my favourite VR experiences. It doesn’t throw you into a realm of adventure, it lures you and forces you to take the steps yourself.

For the price, maybe a bit short, but as far as an episode goes, and about how long I’d want to keep my headset on for this one episode, it’s just about right. Definitely worth a try with subscription.

Reminded me very much of the Myst series, with the puzzles and no direct interaction with npcs. I really like how it manages multiple inventory items with the backpack mechanic. I encountered a few superficial glitches but overall a very nice experience and I look forward to playing further installments.

Well THAT wasn’t on the map! Very interesting ending.
But too short a game for $20. More like a $5 to maybe $10 game in my book. Beat in about 1 hr. But a very well made game that’s more of a teaser to the next episode, which I hear is about 4x longer.

I liked it. Yes, it was short, but perfect for subscription. Controls with rift were a little odd. And one puzzle was kind of frustrating with me loosing the items to solve it all the time. But then overall it is a good game and I will get episode 2.

It was a bit short, but i did enjoy it. And the ending made me really want to play ep2!
The backpack required some fiddling every time to get to work. You have to pull it in front you, change to another hand, maybe change again to actually get in an item out of it and then change again to get rid of the bag. It was just annoying all the way.
You can’t drop important items, only throw them in to the bag, so it’s not too smooth play with items.
Luckily, generally you don’t need to play around with a lot important items, so that eases it up.

One of my favorite awesome game, but relative short gameplay

loved the game play and storyline, just some glitches in the code kept me from playing. In the level called the machine, or maybe it was decent there is an event which causes the Vive controller to vibrarate constantly. for me this is causing continuous loss of controller tracking. Ot also drains the controllers batt. fairly quickly. I think it may be a glitch in the coding since even the end of the triggering event doesn’t seem to stop the vibration of the controller. I tried turning down the haptic setting (no help) and since this game doesn’t show in my Steam system, I can’t change the binding settings or use steam settings to stop the haptics.

If this were a standalone game I’d recommend using one of your viveport subscription slots on it, maybe not worth the £20, It’s pretty and the characters are nice, the puzzles are doable and clever.
Unfortunately it’s part of a series, and the next game is not as good, and the 3rd game (that presumably finishes the story) doesn’t exist, so unless you are OK with an unfinished story I’d have to say avoid this.

game is mehhh…. i bought it on sale for the 5 bucks def worth that. but you really didnt do to much. shot some bells picked up some maps walked around and solved 2 puzzles maybe, and the ending was very much of a let down. all in all i would buy on sale.

Vague puzzles, annoying backpack mechanic (you need to do several tedious things any time you stumble onto cassettes), game really abused controller haptics at the end, simply not as good as FORM

A disappointment. The graphics look pretty, but that’s about it. The gaze navigation gives you neck cramps. The puzzles are generic run-of-the-mill. The story is nonsensical and completely fails to draw you in and on top of that it’s also really short. To sum up the whole game: You meet an old nutty professor, you go down an elevator and than the credits start rolling. Even for an “Episode 1” game that just feels far to little.
On the bugs side, the electronics box puzzle looked completely bugged for me with none of the connections actually connecting to anything. Didn’t matter much, but made solving a bit confusing.

I think VR Studios that have the resources should revisit games and modern VR standards. This should be a 10 dollar game at the most. Compared to other 20 dollar games you get more bang for your buck.

I’m glad they updated the controller options in part 2, because the way the teleport was implemented in this game, I didn’t want to continue. Looks like a quality game otherwise.
Sep 10, 2018
can’t play it, the game is looking for Vive controllers and I’m on an Oculus. Too bad, I was really excited about this one
